You are very right, and it's a movie we've riffed as well, so I'm embarassed to have missed it. I guess it didn't cross my mind that Rain Man was a Best Picture winner. It might also make a good choice for a RiffTrax...

Pretty impressive find. Does "Confidential Postman" award have the same ring to it as "American Day Camp"? I guess we will have to see come March what goes down. I was feeling pretty good about Daddy Day Camps chances, but then Alvin and the Chipmunks had to sneak along and get released before the end of the year. I imagine that will be a front runner as well.

I'm a little late in posting, but I've found the info. James Coco, Amy Irving, Christopher Walken and Alec Baldwin have all been nominated the same year for both an Oscar and a Razzie. Brian Helgeland was the first to win both the same year. He wrote "L.A. Confidential" and "The Postman." Guess which one got the Razzie. For more info, details, and connections, check out Wikipedia's entry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razzies#Razzie.2FOscar_connection

I love Wikipedia. It answers my questions faster than Google does.

How about Sylvester Stallone? There was his acceptable performance in 1976's Rocky, followed by his unintentionally-humorous performance in...well, pretty much every film he's been in since 1976's Rocky.

This reminds me that some day I want to go on Family Feud, just so I can say "the money" and make the host say, "Show me... 'the money'!" without him realizing it. Even if it takes a hundred appearances.
