Creepy? You bet. But McDonald’s has nearly limitless resources to put into the advancement of the creepy arts, as is clearly illustrated here:

I dunno… what child wouldn’t be delighted to find the top of Ronald’s head inside their Happy Meal?

“Hamburger-eatingest” is simultaneously the best and worst superlative I’ve ever heard.

That’s not a clown. I’m pretty sure that’s a homeless person I used to see on the subway who would use cardboard as outerwear during the winter.

I watched it with the sound off. Are we certain this isn’t a snuff film?

I’m pretty sure national crime rates began to rise once the children of the 1970’s grew up and became adults. The same people who grew up during the rise of Ronald McDonald commercials.

    Coincidence?

Didn’t it raise any red flags when they described him as “hamburger-happy?” Is that a trait the American public was demanding of clowns at the time?

“Go hug the clown with garbage on his head, honey!”

I invite my fellow commentors to judge the appropriateness of these clips for Lumpy’s Love Thyself Machine.

“…I like to do everything boys and girls like to do.” Least convincing line-read I’ve ever heard.

Oh! And I totally had that McMoonHead guy in my happy meal.

Though this post of mine could easily fit in the catagory of ’share your secret shame’ I still have a ‘man in the moon’ mask that looks a lot like ‘mac tonite’ sans the shades….

Yea see that’s why we have youtube, bravo you managed to find Jay Leno’s original opening theme for the Tonight Show. This of course was before his talk with Johnny Carson just before he left the show.
Thank goodness he changed it and thank goodness he had that plastic surgery to reduce the size of his chin.

That’s almost as upsetting as the announcement that Ronald was also played by a person named, quote, “Squire Fridell.”

If McDonalds helped start obesity in America with that commercial, they could surely scare kids away from it now by reshowing it. I for one will never go near another McDonalds again.

Forget fighting obesity, that commercial would make a good contraceptive. It needs to be shown in health classes throughout America.
