The year is young, but experts have already established strong odds that Diane Lane’s quote at 2:15 of the trailer for the Firewall-esque “Untraceable” will take home the prize for “Movie Line of the Year”.
“He hacked into my car’s computer.” Let it spring forth upon the internet, like so many Snakes on Planes or This is Sparta’s before it! Wikipedia keeps reverting my changes to the AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movie Quotes list, but I think the revision to the number one spot is all but a given.

“He hacked into my car’s computer.”
“Now I really CAN get over 50 miles to the gallon! It *is* a government conspiracy!!”

What makes the line is that she’s kind of asking it. It’s obviously a line that goes on and they cut it for the trailer, but the oddness of her going up at the end of the statement unnerves me. I hope the whole film is an experiment in intonation. That sounds like a blockbuster.

Sorry C-man. The real takeaway line from this movie is at 1:08:
“Set up a press conference.”
Coming soon to an Oscar clip montage near you.

Insert ‘Off-star’ joke here?
I sort of like the line
“He got all the way into my wireless network!”
Not just part of the way in, but ALL THE WAY! Feet and all!

“Upon further inspection, it is actually a hacker, not a killer. You should be safe, but you may want to change your facebook password.”

Facebook. That’s what the website in this movie reminds me of.

Good thing: Diane Lane got a nice beefy part in an action suspense movie!
Bad thing: it looks really unpleasant!
It just screams “story that would be 15 minutes/pages long if the characters had made logical tactical choices”.

One of those tech-cops is played by Colin Hanks (Son of Tom*). Following his dad’s career path, this is evidently his Turner & Hooch.
*”Son of Tom” also happens to be Colin’s nickname of choice, should he be obligated to turn to his fallback serial-killing career.

“My car has a computer?”
I swear, the next person I hear refering to their gas guzzling SUV as a CAR is going on that bleed-o-meter internet site. Jesus Christ, it’s called a bloody van, I don’t care how much they make it look like the space shuttle or how much you wish you were driving a car. IT IS NOT A CAR.
Hey, you know what. Maybe it is. Maybe EVERYTHING is a car. Well, I’m just going to pedal my car to the roller rink and straps cars on my feet before we go watch Tony Hawk in the car-boarding competition, and maybe we’ll stop by the weiner-car for some hot dogs before taking the subway car back to our mobile car in the mobile car park where we live.
