Every so often, I feel it is important to search for your family’s name on youtube, in hopes/fear that a relative of yours may uploaded something that will make the family proud/ashamed. God forbid any members of the extended “Pruane” family has done such a search recently. During my last search, I was fortunate enough to come across these cartoons that my cousin Tony has been producing, and though their focus is a little off topic for the RiffTrax Blog, I thought they were worth sharing, (HINT: Sarcasm, they are of course about Bacon.)

You should link to the other cartoons. I’m sure Salon still has them up.

as my last name is Gibson, I probably shouldn’t do a name search on youtube…but I did, and all I got was news hosts and some cool looking guitars.

Once reviled as the surest path to an early grave, bacon has made a startling comeback as the preferred food of health gurus and doctors.
C. Everett Koop, former Surgeon General of the United States, pro-life fanatic and captain of the Pequod, says, “Bacon: it does a body good! Now, hoist the mainsail and prepare to shove off!”
No, you shove off, Dr. Koop! I’m eating a deep fried bacon sandwich with a side order of bacon ala mode.

Do they mean American bacon, or Canadian bacon? Bacon is good.

This somewhat reminds me of the time someone pulled up that baseball thing on his computer at work and asked me if I had seen it before. I of course, hadn’t, but apparently I was the only one.

But… Have you considered the future of bacon (as seen 33 years ago)?
