Bill Corbett’s official response to the Angry McCain Girl:

April 1st, 2008 by Bill Corbett · 15 Comments

Dear Angry McCain Girl:

I say with a contrite heart, a chastened attitude, a promise to do better in the future, and slight indigestion (which is not your problem, I realize):

The soul of Soul speaks for my soul.

I Remain,

Your Servant,

Soul-fully,

Bill Corbett

Creepily, he sang this for Antonio Fargas (A.K.A. Huggy Bear). And Justin, the running back for the Raiders, is their love child.

    I feel cold.

Well, I think this should be more than sufficient. I mean, who can stay made when David Soul is playing?

    Anyone?

I think I preferred the horrifying gnome video from a while back.

Come to think of it, what ever happened to the great gnome invasion of ‘08? The newspapers have been suspiciously quiet about that incident…. a little too quiet, if you ask me.

OK. Sure. The McCain Girls are all pissed. But there is an even worse political video out there, and they obviously had a budget…I present the Up With People-ish “Hillary 4 U and Me”. Enjoy…

Well, at least they didn’t have little little Hillary dolls raining down…

But I have to say, I didn’t think anyone could ever steal the energy from that song… well, tune… but they somehow managed it. ;p

Bah! Paul Michael Glaser can sing circles around Mr. Soul - he just has more fun kicking Rooster’s ass!

    So, Bill - funny story:

I enjoy a good Rifftrax blog laugh. I mention to The Wife that she should check in while she’s online, she does, and we begin our snarky little retro-laugh at Hutch’s expense.

After the harmony kicks in, she says mockingly, “I love that his voice is higher than Anne Murray’s.” I say, more fearfully, “I love that you identified that as Anne Murray.” She hangs her head in shame and apologizes, but it’s too late. I haven’t even checked to see if Murray in fact sings backup. The certainty in my wife’s voice was too great.

I write this as I pack my bag. You’ll be hearing from my lawyer.

    Thanks, Bill.

GM, no one will blame you a bit.

…Even me, the target of your lawsuit. I pre-surrender.

So.. I’ve had “Don’t Give Up On Us” running through my head all day long!

Thanks for the earworm Bill ;p

    Oh, Hutch. Why?…
I love his little emotional pauses between phrases like at 1:31. He’s sort of confused as to why he’s there, then he suddenly remembers he left the oven on, then he has a muscle spasm.
Actually, I guess it’s sort of a remarkable range for a 2 second pause. :P
