Only because some of you seem to have a weak stomach regarding our penchant for cross-celebrity mutations, I present the American Purple-top “Gary” Busnip hybrid (Corbett cultivar). With a stronger, more pungent taste than other varieties, the Busnip is commonly baked, occasionally steamed , but perhaps most popular when smashed, spiked with good-quality vodka, and heaped in a big pile in the middle of the dinner table. Enjoy!

That’s disturbing. Thanks Kevin, I needed that as a primer before I listened to your Rifftrax for Saw.
Seems like it’s the wrong vegetable, though. Gary Busy has been trying to pickle himself for years.

Tip: Don’t put Busnip in boiling water, else he’ll squeal like a fatter, wetter Ned Beatty.
What you do is let the water slowly come to a boil with Busnip already in the pot. It’ll be just like drifting off to sleep for the wee fella.

Hey, that gives me a neat idea. Next, lets cross Ned Beatty with something, say a sugar beet.

But his head already looks like a giant potato. Anything else would be a lateral move.

Ok, I go away for a couple of days and I come back to this? Why? It’s as if I have been bitch-slapped by everything I have ever known.
I am so done with parsnips.
