Conor Lastowka Recites the Alphabet

June 6th, 2008 by Conor Lastowka · 19 Comments

Well, it’s been a great week of celebrity recitations of the alphabet. To cap it off, I decided to throw my hat in with James Earl Jones, Jackie Robinson, Patrick Stewart and Dennis Franz. However, being professionals, they of course make it look easier than it is…

Cthulhu!!? Lol, oh that’s scary. So, I thik we all need to take this as a lesson. The next time one of us wants to make fun of a star for saying the alphabet, reamember, it’s not that easy

That was a thing of subtle beauty, Conor. I tip my Cthulhu to you.

Just to save people the trouble of looking for it themselves:

    Nicely done, Conor.

But until you do it prancing around the bridge of a starship wearing a jaunty straw boater, you’re still in the minor leagues.

And under phaser fire. The only way to top Picard is to try and do the prancing while your fellow bridge officers take random pot shots at you with phasers set on “kill”.

    “I didn’t think they’d call again.” Classic!

Yep. Next time anybody watches a movie or TV show and says, “Tch. *I* could so do that.”, they’d better watch this. This is a job for the professionals, man. Thanks for showing us the gritty “behind the scenes” grind of what it takes to recite the alphabet.

All seriousness aside: that totally made me laugh out loud. Well done.

Clearly, Conor is possessed by Cthulhu, hence the randomly saying its name and speaking in tongues (Spanish). For the sake of all humanity Conor must be put down.

    So, who’s gonna do it?

(But really, that was hilarious. Good job.)

So, what kind of pizza did you get?

Wow, that was just…wow! Until now I had not watched any of your series on alphabet recitation, but this makes me wanna see the rest. I’ll do that now…

You and the other reciters should have a recite-off to see who is the best at reciting the alphabet.

I don’t know why that’s so funny… but it is. I was kind of expecting you to break into song near the end, though. Something from My Fair Lady, perhaps.

Man, that Cthulu! He’s almost as bad as Cookie Monster for inserting himself into alphabet recitals. And daily conversation. And muffin recipes, dry cleaning receipts, and moving van panel advertisements.

Or…..What he would look like after missing since he was ten years old…..

Ahh Cthulu…. trying to make your way into the alphabet. When will you learn!

There’s nothing funny about this bit. Conor is trying for a Dave Barry/Andy Kaufman thing, and just doesn’t pull it off.
