Well, it’s no Schnappi…
And more Chihuahua news from the NY Times here. Though no mention of Conor’s original. Journalistic misconduct of the gravest kind.

It’s probably best that they don’t translate that song. America is already hated enough.

What the heck is “lover” German for?

And here I thought that chihuahua trailer couldn’t get any more painful…this will haunt me to my grave.

I agree. I almost lost the will to live.

Ich vomited. Ich hätte zu Hohleisen meine Augen mit einem Löffel.

It appears, from my Googling, that “kreiger” might mean “warrior” and “lover” *sigh* means just what you think it means. Seeing this utterly depressing trailer before Wall-E is perhaps the best way to ensure you appreciate the folks at Pixar.

I don’t know what that means but France just surrendered to you.
*This lame joke brought to you by 1985. 1985, it was a good year!

Thanks, 1985!
But it will be hard to guide the POW’s after my eyes have been gouged out with a spoon (as per the original German transcript).

Do we really need to be exporting garbage such as this around the world. I feel mightily ashamed, with just a touch of nausea.

It’s such a romantic language, Klingon is.

I feel extremely embarrassed for Walt Disney. >.< If I see any posters or anything about this movie when I visit Disneyland tomorrow, I believe I might blow it up.

ooo blame it on another country. Yes, an American classic.
19 Ben on Jul 16, 2008 at 11:34 am
I think I will stick with Lou from E’s “The Soup”.

When I went to see wall-e, the reaction the (old) Chihuahua trailer got was wonderful. A few seconds of silence, followed by stunned, uncertain laughter. It’s like the whole theater hoped it was a joke, or a hallucination.

Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee……… I don’t get it
23 RemmieBarrow on Jul 16, 2008 at 3:20 pm
You are right, Sir, it is not Schnappi. For your information, Schnappi would have ate all those atonal dogs and be back for breakfast.

Why break with tradition now?

Conor’s definitely has more Kreiger, at least by 7%.

I really hope this “Papi” character falls into the hands of the lower class Aztecs during the movie. It’d be a bummer of a Disney movie, but on the bright side, it’d make one heck of an episode of Anthony Bourdain!
