Pity the chocolate bunnies

March 4th, 2009 by Bill Corbett · 32 Comments

Some mad Euro-artist is melting them in horrifying, aesthetically pleasing ways.

Will PETA rise to the occasion and fight? Will Hershey’s?!

That’s how they all start. One day, he’ll grow up and start killing chocolate people.

*gasps* Oh the horror! The horror!

  • 3 jfe on Mar 4, 2009 at 12:11 pm

Seems like an awful waste of good chocolate. Or sort of decent chocolate.

  • 4 AJ on Mar 4, 2009 at 12:49 pm

That’s what makes it so horrible!

At the end there, I guess you could say he was blow-drying his HARE..heh…

    I’m sorry. Kill me.

After staring at the rabbit’s googly eyes and bucktoothed smile for a couple minutes, the melting started to get satisfying.

This approaches Todd Solondz levels of sociopathy somehow.

I guess Bill posted that Mr. Rogers tribute just to soften everyone up for the Death-Blow.

Eh, the chocolet bunnie guiloteen still creates less mess than those tourture devices.

  • 9 Remmie Barrow on Mar 4, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Sorry, I ment guillotine…all that carnage left me in a state of shock.

Fact: I went to college with Todd Solondz. If anything, he was weirder then.

This is like watching chocolate bunnies melt.

I have to say that ironing method really takes the wrinkles out of the old bunny’s face.

If not for the screaming and scarring and , it might eventually replace botox.

How does one sit down to write a song with nothing but “la”s?!

“No, no, it isn’t right. It’s la la la, la la lala damn it…let’s take it from the top.”

  • 14 Yanni on Mar 4, 2009 at 3:37 pm

I love how the bunnies’ eyes are so wide. It’s like they know whats coming.

Poor bunny. I wonder if it bleeds dark chocolate or strawberry filling….

  • 16 AJ on Mar 4, 2009 at 3:50 pm

i bet his mum went mental when she saw the state of the iron

  • 18 Damon on Mar 4, 2009 at 4:17 pm

It brings new meaning to the words “Rabbit Run”.

Okay, firstly, if PETA protests this by taking several starlets, removing their clothes, and covering them in chocolate, I’d be all for it. So long as it isn’t Pam Anderson. Though, the artists behind this video could probably remake the video with Pam Anderson instead of bunnies.

Secondly, someone really needs to rescore this with the music at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc (the movie that tells the story of when the Oakland Raiders were visiting the Arc de Triomphe and it disappeared without a trace).

Bill, it may look cool but, from one that knows-

Real bunnies take WAAYY longer to melt.

(Isn’t it funny how some chance music can just fit a mood perfectly? So analogous)

I’m not really sure if I like this new fatalistic, Ingmar Bergman-esque version of Thumper the Rabbit.

Mommy, why is evil so very very beautiful?

As long as he doesn’t melt them before they lay their delicious Cadbury Eggs, I’m not sure this is cause for alarm. God help me, if humans were as delicious as Cadbury Eggs, you’d only know me by the trail of bones…

I just had flash backs to Spaced and watching Brian well be Bridan really.

Reminds me of our trip through Walker and um well getting really scared, especially with the body parts exhibit.

But their only crime was being born delicious!

  • 28 Ann Peek on Mar 10, 2009 at 2:02 pm

    It’s like a snuff film…only delicious!

The part with the hair dryer reminds me of the scene where they opened the ark of the covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
