This rather excitable, unshaven gentlemen has an announcement:
on Apr 9, 2009 at 3:30 pm
I recommend that you do all your future big announcements via this method.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 3:34 pm
Consider yourself followed, Mike!

nothing comes up when i search for michaeljnelson or michael j nelson
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:00 pm
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:01 pm
it’s probably not in the search yet, sorry. It’s twitter.com/michaeljnelson
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:10 pm
I don’t believe this announcement is true. I think it’s a War of the Worlds-esque attempt at inciting riots.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Absolutely. In fact, stop speaking to real people or leaving your house. Face-to-face interaction only leads to infection, illness, and death. ALLOW THE INTERNET TO DOMINATE ALL. DO IT.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Is twittering superior to blogging? Is there any substantial reason to even start twittering? Must we chase everyone into what is “hip!?”
From a website… to myspace.. to this blog I have followed Mike!
My feet are too tired.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 4:43 pm
But it’s Twitter? You know, Twitter? With the tweeting and the things and the –
Ah, you’re probably right.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 5:06 pm
I’m sorry Mike but I have a real problem with it.
You have my respect and everything but.. I don’t think I ever want to be considered one of Mike Nelson’s “Followers.” It just sounds almost like …. Well I just hope you don’t get carried away and have them all sample some “special kool-aid” or anything of that nature.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:06 pm
I’m not registered with twitter… I only just figured out leaving blog comments. Can I just follow you in spirit (and on here, since I know how this works)?
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:08 pm
Special Kool-aid? Will there be refreshments?
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:09 pm
If they stick his page on the blog roll you’ll be able to just click on it and read along without registering. I did that for a while until I found out I could also follow MC Hammer!!
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:12 pm
Kool-aid? I was told there’d be beer!
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:14 pm
And MC Hammer? You mean, I can touch this?
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:23 pm
Oh! Could there be wine too? I’m not crazy about beer but a nice Pinot Grigio would be lovely.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 6:46 pm
I won’t twitter for anything less than bourbon.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 7:16 pm
Bourbon or Rum would do for me, too.

on Apr 9, 2009 at 7:24 pm
ahhh Et twitt, Brute?
on Apr 9, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Those xtranormal clips are wild. I made my own “Reservoir Dogs – The SitCom” clip after seeing these. (Click on my name to see it)
on Apr 9, 2009 at 8:51 pm
That is all the way high-tech. Pretty soon you’ll be Googling the interwebs like a pro, making LOLcats and have your own 4-Chan login.
RUN, MIKE, RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!
on Apr 9, 2009 at 9:51 pm
So when will xtranormal reach the point of being able to just read blog posts and twitters too people?
on Apr 9, 2009 at 10:01 pm
In about 6 months. It will also have replaced the American Idol judges by then. Also, “24″ will become a completely xtranormal production.
on Apr 9, 2009 at 10:56 pm
You can, in fact, touch this as long as you don’t break it! We can’t have nice things!
on Apr 10, 2009 at 2:23 am
Like a little sheep, I will stalk…..follow! I mean follow!
on Apr 10, 2009 at 5:53 am
If Bacon-flavored kool-aid is special, then yes.
(You know, I’m astonished no one posted that before now…)
on Apr 10, 2009 at 7:40 am
mystery science twitter? just sayin.
on Apr 10, 2009 at 7:54 am
Earl F.!! I would have been disappointed if someone didn’t. Thank you for showing me that there is still hope and beauty in this world.
on Apr 10, 2009 at 8:10 am
There is! It’s not all bacon shaped or flavored (as this week reminds many of us), but some of it most certainly is.
on Apr 10, 2009 at 10:06 am
I for one look forward to the RiffTrax for these XTRANormal videos. Now that’s building a market for your product!
on Apr 10, 2009 at 11:29 am
Does that announcer have a spastic twitch…Or does he just like to raise his arms in the air like he does not care?
on Apr 10, 2009 at 1:07 pm
I am NOT the Messiah!
I say you are Lord, and I should know. I’ve followed a few.
on Apr 10, 2009 at 3:41 pm
Enjoy. And then be sad. Because this isn’t a joke. And then enjoy again.
on Apr 10, 2009 at 3:57 pm
Yep, I’m a follower. Sigh…
on Apr 11, 2009 at 7:32 am
I’m in my early 30’s and live in the US, but I haven’t signed up for MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter. I was just wondering, by today’s standards, do I even exist anymore?
on Apr 11, 2009 at 10:59 am
For what its worth, I haven’t either. I think, well lets just say, you are not alone…
And no, neither of us exist anymore…
Which could be a good thing, cause God believes in guilt by association.
on Apr 11, 2009 at 12:47 pm
By my standards you are an upstanding individual.
on Apr 12, 2009 at 8:58 am
This does not bode well.
on Apr 12, 2009 at 3:15 pm
I’ve just discovered the worst movie ever made (weep for me, I’m watching it now). From the expert lens of Otto Preminger comes: Skidoo!
The trailer is at:
This movie had everything! Great director! All star cast!
John Philip Law!
And oh how it failed. I can feel my brain dying off cell by cell the longer I watch it.
on Apr 12, 2009 at 10:13 pm
I hear the next version of twitter will still have the limit of 120 characters, but all tweets will have to be done as these XtraNormal text-to-movies.
on Apr 13, 2009 at 6:10 am
Little sheep are stalking me??
on Apr 13, 2009 at 9:36 am
Or there’s always “Flutter”: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid271557392?bctid=18328570001
My favorite part – “Kim get coffee”.
