Music for the end of the day.

April 14th, 2009 by Bill Corbett · 25 Comments

It’s been a long but rather lovely day here at the Rifftrax Blog, hasn’t it? We began a very promising new blog obsession involving hideous wax people, and Conor reminded us of the Five ways he gets High (or something to that effect).

I’d hoped to play out the day with a little Mark Gormley. Unfortunately, Mark was otherwise engaged. But he was kind enough to send his friend Jan Terri in his place. Enjoy:

how are there no comments here yet? did everybody off themselves after this song? i admit, it’s a tempting thought, but i would have thought there’d be a few parting words left here beforehand.

As those links do, I was led to Leonard Nimoy’s Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. So thank you Bill, I needed that.

How can this possibly be compared to Gormley, when it has actual human beings in actual locations?

This fever dream starring Stacy Keach and Divine induced enough vomiting to fill a swimming pool.

I call BS on this “song.” Only about half of the utterances out of that woman’s mouth were actually words.

I got as far as the facial close-up for “He had baby blues, so crystal clear”, and I suddenly remembered that I needed to file my taxes. Maybe next year I’ll finish watching it…

Wow. Those animations at xtranormal.com are getting more realistic all the time.

Pretty soon, they’ll be able to replace real people.

Well, if not real people, at least they’ll replace phone solicitors.

That was Divine? I thought it was Edith Massey.

This is 2009, I’m surprised people still haven’t heard Jan Terri. Then again, I forget that not everybody sits around and explores the internet all day. Check out my site for all the Jan Terri goodness, btw.

Suggestion for the future, fast forward the video and you won’t lose as much of your life.

Or resist the urge to hit play at all. Maybe that’s the key.

So let me get this straight, the woman who looks as if she has been repeatedly punch in the face is the hottie of the song and the drunk yokel is playing the “Patrick Swayze” roll.

    Okay, well I’m stunned
