Alive and Kicking (and Possibly Screaming).

Rifftrax Live Online

We’re in the final stages of prep work for our live online show, and a new first – an entire feature film, lovingly riffed for your enjoyment.

We’ll start the evening at 6pm Pacific Time with a short film, one of our absolute favorites, Shake Hands With Danger, which you can watch for free. It’s a sexy, freewheelin’ industrial accident film set to a toe-tapping country-rock score.

Then if you’d like to see the feature film, just buy a ticket, step behind the velvet rope and follow the surprisingly easy instructions.

Tonight’s movie Planet of Dinosaurs is the kind of classic well-aged cheese that’s always perfect for riffing.  A spaceship is marooned on a distant planet crawling (actually sparsely peppered with) dinosaurs.  It’s a battle of man against wire-frame stop-action clay model, and you can expect a lot of action-packed, thrill-a-minute aimless walking.

After the movie, stick around for a chance to interact with Mike, Bill and Kevin – we promise you a genuine surprise or two.  Tickets are on sale now.  Hope you can join us!

    I’m so excited. No… words… should have sent a rhodes scholar…

I am a-quiver! Gonna give the kid a dose of St. Joseph’s Chewable knock out drops for children and you’ll have my full attention! (kidding, the child shall remain undrugged and free to pester me at will)

The RiffTrax site is a bit wonky. You might be alive, but the site is doing all the kicking and screaming.

I’d love it if you could keep my money and just hook it up again soon!

Darn! This was going to be the highlight of my week!

  • 8 Lord-z on May 15, 2009 at 6:14 pm

Screaming, mostly, as it turned out.

The film fell through. Ah well – that’s what you get when you break the internet.

Now I expect an epic post detailing what happened from the Rifftrax side of things.

Ditto this. Someday those bloody intrawebs WILL succumb to your might doings, RiffTrax. I am confident of that. Thanks for the short, though!

Seconded. …For those of us not on Twitter or hooked up via your Facebook or MySpace accounts….

I couldn’t get on the Rifftrax site at all around showtime. Did the site crash?

Keep trying guys. This stuff is frustrating, but there are a lot of us out here excited that you are trying new methods for sharing your humor with us. Hang in there.

The show was a bust, but we ended up comparing the guys to vehicles, Bill is a Hybrid, Kevin is a giant tank-like Oldsmobile, and mike is a nice sturdy Ford, reliable and always there, not needing a bailout.

We also compared Conor to bigfoot, everyone know about him, but there’s no substantial evidence of his existence.

Sorry the show ended up having issues, but now I’ve learned my lesson to check the blog more often! I didn’t even read this until 2 1/2 hours after the live show was gonna start.

    Me too.

Sooooo…what do we get now for our $14.95?

I know they said they would refund the money,

but I would prefer they just Riff it as they did Refer Madness, and just make it download-able as originally sold. (With extras… as advertised)

In short: Keep the money and make with the funny.

I have seen a few grainy photos of Connor but it might have just been an actor in a Connor suit.

Agreed. I’m fine with some sort of store credit, but I’m also happy with just considering my purchase as a donation instead.
