Just bought my tix. My theater sold out last time so I am taking no chances. Cant wait for the Xmas FUNNY!

  • 2 rebisaz on Nov 6, 2009 at 4:14 pm

There is nothing about this I don’t love.

  • 3 Alan on Nov 6, 2009 at 5:42 pm

Does it make me pathetic if I want to go to the live show, then pay to see it again the next night?

  • 4 Conor Lastowka on Nov 6, 2009 at 5:55 pm

No, it makes you stronger and more handsome.

  • 5 Cheryl on Nov 6, 2009 at 5:57 pm

    Absolutely not, Alan! :)

  • 6 Cheryl on Nov 6, 2009 at 6:04 pm

It’s great that I found a theater close to me in NJ that will be showing this! If I had to, I’d drive over to Philly….or fly out to San Diego.

  • 7 Lisa Comrie on Nov 6, 2009 at 6:13 pm

can’t wait! Things are gonna get Weird! love him

  • 8 Beth Smith on Nov 7, 2009 at 4:03 am

You need to have Fathom Events; website checked for addresses to theaters and listing of theaters. I went to the Encore, following their directions, and wound up in a small town that didn’t even have a stoplight, much less a movie theater. It’s the listing for Hollywood Theaters, Morgantown, WV. It says it’s in Granville, which is incorrect. Thanks!

  • 9 Erik at RiffTrax on Nov 7, 2009 at 9:13 am

Thanks Beth, we’ll talk to NCM and ask them to verify that listing.

JUST after I’m probably away back home for Xmas…

  • 11 chrismartindeed on Nov 8, 2009 at 4:42 am

Q: Before the show begins, will the theater be showing previews of Coming Obstructions?

  • 12 Steve R. on Nov 8, 2009 at 7:31 am

Will there be any chance of a third encore, because of all the nights you picked, it sucks cuz I’m busy both nights!!! :( :( :( :( :( :(

  • 13 BEMaven on Nov 8, 2009 at 12:35 pm

Yes, a third encore would be extremely helpful.

After a wave of bankruptcies and consolidations, there is no longer a cinema multiplex near my home.

I might find it necessary to build one in my backyard.

  • 14 bullwinkle on Nov 8, 2009 at 5:34 pm

I’ll be there with bells on! Also, drunk and nude!

  • 15 Walter Kovacs on Nov 8, 2009 at 6:53 pm

I’d have done the same thing, but the hotel cost would propably be a bit excessie. nstead I’ll just be making a 3 hour trek across the border (in both directions) to Syracuse. Luckily it’s during a hole in my exam schedule.

  • 16 Mike "ex-genius" Kelley on Nov 9, 2009 at 6:47 am

I’m not crazy about Al riffing (Kevin, Bill and Mike are *plenty*, unless Al is going to fill in only on one short) but my wife and I will be there. I do hope that some of these shorts will be available afterwards, though (that’s one of the nice things about the last show — I feel I can at least recreate some of the experience again by watching the videos).

  • 17 Ben on Nov 9, 2009 at 8:02 am

Gee, I wonder if I can use the tickets from the last live show that I never got to see?

  • 18 Lisa M on Nov 9, 2009 at 8:07 am

Whoo-hooo! One of my colleagues didn’t get to go last time and he’s been all mopey ever since. (Especially since the two of us that did go spent the next three weeks rubbing it in his face by ranting on and on about how great it was.) I printed out the email and left it on his desk with a note: WANNA GO?! He’ll be over the moon when I tell him I already bought his ticket. (Hey, one less Christmas present I have to come up with…)

  • 19 Lisa M on Nov 9, 2009 at 8:08 am

Oh, and the lady I went with last time is one of Weird Al’s biggest fans. I’m so stoked he’s gonna be there!

  • 20 Bob Unemployed on Nov 10, 2009 at 6:47 pm

Trying to get a good sized group to the “Center for the Arts” live show. One question; If we are not named Art, do we have to get fake IDs bearing that name?

  • 21 karen on Nov 17, 2009 at 1:23 pm

damn. I cannot order the 1st date of tickets of the theater nearest to us. WHY! 2nd one uses fandango and that is okay. HRM!

  • 22 Amy on Nov 21, 2009 at 12:39 am

Rifftrax live in my hometown. It truly is a Christmas Miracle.

  • 23 Jason Goldtrap on Nov 24, 2009 at 5:32 am

I sent my entry via snail mail. It includes my name, address, phone number, birth date, why I love Rifftrax and my 38,000 word handwritten manifesto on mutton chops.

  • 24 Erik at RiffTrax on Nov 25, 2009 at 10:38 pm

Mutton chops manifesto means instant disqualification. Sorry, it was mentioned in the fine print.

  • 25 karen on Nov 28, 2009 at 8:29 am

I am so nerdified, its hubby’s x-mas gift to him. best money I ever spent!

  • 26 Jason on Nov 30, 2009 at 11:47 am

What age does everyone think is appropriate for this? My daughter is 7 and I’m wondering if it would be fine for her. Thanks.

  • 27 Nathan Rork on Dec 1, 2009 at 3:28 am

Alright, it’s gonna be in Muskegon this time! I know I’M going, now the question is how many of my friends will be able to come as well. I’m not busy on the 16th or 17th, but my friends might not be so fortunate.

Hell, I’ll go alone if I have to. If nothing else, I might meet some new friends who are into Rifftrax. ^_^

Why, I could even encounter a comely lass who’d engage in a romantic interlude with me. We could even fall in love and marry some day.

And then the romance would sour, and we’d go through a bitter divorce. Damn you, Rifftrax! You took away the last six years of me life! This is all your fault!

  • 28 Misty on Dec 1, 2009 at 6:20 am

Is it ok for kids (mature 10 yr old)?

  • 29 James on Dec 1, 2009 at 2:01 pm

Is there a list somewhere of which shorts are being riffed? I hope one of them is “A Christmas Dream.” It’s a horrible stop-motion animation from Czechoslovakia. Funny as hell!

  • 30 mxyzplk on Dec 5, 2009 at 9:49 am

I also have the “would this show be appropriate for a 7 year old” question. She loves both MST3k and Weird Al so this is like the dream combo for her (and me!).

  • 31 jake on Dec 16, 2009 at 1:58 am

got my tix earlier tonight from Fandango, looking forward to tomorrow night!

  • 32 Claire on Dec 16, 2009 at 1:28 pm

“A URL and code will be revealed on-screen to receive your free digital goodies after the live event”

What does this mean? When we signed up it said we would get stuff there… confused. My kid was kind of excited about that part!

  • 33 Claire I. on Dec 16, 2009 at 1:53 pm

“What does this mean? When we signed up it said we would get stuff there… confused. My kid was kind of excited about that part!”

Claire – sadly, no physical goodies at the theater; during the performance the cast will give the code/password and the URL to enter it at, and you’ll get to download some digital goodies, whatever those may be. The Plan 9 event gave a code for a photo postcard, little icons/avatars, etc. It was neat!

Just tell the kiddo that they have a mission to write down the super-secret code so they can get pictures and stuff online later!

  • 34 Jack B on Dec 16, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Just back from the show – I haven’t laughed that hard since… the last show! Thanks guys, my buddies and I had a great time. Well, until the very disturbing credits…

  • 35 Rosemarie on Dec 16, 2009 at 7:33 pm

I loved it too, and I agree with Jack B about the credits.

  • 36 Kathryn on Dec 16, 2009 at 7:47 pm

Loved loved LOVED it! Between the Santa who surrounded himself with scantily-dressed prepubescent boys and the Santa who *ahem* had a warm and respectful relationship with Rudolph, I’ll never look at Saint Nick the same way again.

And I have to agree about the credits. Come on, guys, the world already HAS a South Park. No need for you to jump on that particular bandwagon twelve years after the fact.

  • 37 April on Dec 16, 2009 at 7:55 pm

Argh — I went can scan in my ticket stubs and everything, but missed the URL/Code/Whatever. I loved the show, but I feel my experience is incomplete…help?

  • 38 Ben McCauley on Dec 16, 2009 at 9:21 pm

    I missed it >.<

  • 39 Jack B on Dec 17, 2009 at 5:39 am

Too be clear, I was disturbed by Kevin, and not the reactions to him…but I did find it funny!

  • 40 Linda on Dec 17, 2009 at 7:01 am

Saw it live in Escondido. Very funny but disappointed that Wierd Al was only on stage about 5 mins. Was hoping he would do more. Did not like openseating when they did not open doors on time. Mad crush in lobby. Next time please sell assigned seats.

  • 41 Kellie on Dec 18, 2009 at 9:59 am

I loved the free goodies, laughed hysterically throughout the show! Will the other shorts be available to purchase? (And the commercials, trying to explain the ding-a-lings to my husband was not sufficient!!)
    Awesome show, guys!

  • 42 Dr. Kenneth Noisewater on Dec 30, 2009 at 11:06 am

You guys keep scheduling these things when I’m on-call :(

Hope I can catch the next one..
